What?   And now, miscellaneous bizarre weapon #2, #3, #4: glass hand mirror, badminton set of DOOM, and yes, another umbrella.  

GIMME!  

1. There are so many beautiful hand mirrors out there but this antique cobalt blue mirror feels the most “demonic Black Lady” to me.

2.Badminton Racket Set, sans electricity…but you wouldn’t need all four, you lonely, rejected child.

3. Yet another Parasol Umbrella with Ruffles to block the healing light of love.

What?   Miscellaneous bizarre weapon #1: giant fan of death.

GIMME!  

You can easily buy a larger-than-normal (18 in) white folding fan from Amazon, like this Blank White Wall Fan and draw a black moon on it.

Much larger ones are available at Rakuten for about $200.

But, for that size, it would be easiest just to fold or buy your own paper fan (harisen) for alternative use in bad Japanese comedy sketches.

Season Episode 39: Series Episode 85 -「暗黒の女王ブラックレディの誕生」 or “The Birth of Black Lady, The Queen of Darkness”

What?  Transformation ribbons, long and loose.  

Wise Man essentially traps Chibi-Usa by making her focus on (misplaced) anger towards the people around her.  This rage turns into black smokey ribbons that cover her, transforming her into Black Lady.  It is an interesting comparison to Sailor Moon’s transformation ribbons: Chibi Usa’s anger and hatred leads to ribbons that change her, literally warping her body.  But, Sailor Moon’s love and desire to help leads to ribbons that “armor” and power-up her body. 

Just like the cry “make-up,” ribbons continue the cosmetic metaphor for how girls “change” themselves (for better or worse).   

GIMME!  So if you need a little bit of transformation…　

Wear black or pink ribbons, long and sophisticated like the models for designer Alexis Mabille.

Or wear ribboned jewelry, like a Ligia Dias necklace or a Chanel ribbon bracelet or just make one yourself for 1/10000 of the price.  

Or, loop it in your hair like a TV heroine (villainess??).

Or just as a forget me not ring perhaps?

Random snapshot(s) I can only think that Chibi-Usa went through an accelerated puberty and now we’ve got a teenage Black Lady with her ragey emo self-pity. So in honor of our own years of NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME, I HATE YOU MOM, here is a post celebrating drama queens with pink hair (and…some random Korean model…because she is super cute, no?).
