What? Black school bag ~ mandatory part of the school uniform. In Sailor Moon, all the girls have the classic black leather bag (lately, schools also have nylon ones). I wish I could’ve gotten a clearer still from the show….

But I am in LOVE with these bags from Cambridge Satchel Company.  Looks like they ship overseas. Modcloth used to sell them at $185, which isn’t so bad for a high quality handmade leather bag.  I think I’ll save up for one for the fall when I go to Japan!

I checked the usual higher end bag stores but even Coach (mid-high) is still around $500 for a leather bag.  Urban Outfitters and Forever21 had stuff too but after years and years of bags falling apart at the seams, I think I’m ready for a grown-up investment piece.
